The results are in, and J.D. Power and Associates has once again emerged unscathed after throwing themselves into the fray of customer satisfaction surveys to bring us their 2007 Digital Camera Satisfaction Study.

If you are looking to buy a digital camera of any caliber, I recommend performing a comparison against this satisfaction study.

On a personal note, I’m as pleased as Punch to see that in the DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) category; the Nikon D Series has swept all five ratings categories, getting the highest marks possible in each!

Now I feel better about spending all the money I did upgrading from my D70 to my latest D200. Even with the D300 on the horizon, the over-all expense and surprising low effective pixels count (12.3mp) for this class of camera keep it out of my range of desire – at least for now. Not discounting the other technological advancements (e.g. full-frame (35mm) sensor!) of the new D3/D300 series, but I’m very happy with my D200 – and apparently so are many others!

Maybe I’ll upgrade again if I figure out how to make a profit with my interest in photography. But right now its just another one of my expensive toys that I’m occasionally able to impress others with.

Right now I’m still struggling with “Phase 2 ” of my Underpants Gnomes three-phase business plan.
